Does Eating Animal Eat’s You?

How do you see the world? — I see it feelingly & shouldn’t we all?

Animals must be off the menu – because tonight they are screaming in terror in the slaughter houses, in crates and cages.

In slaughter house, eyes stabbed out & knife slashed on the cattle to the extreme & the mother whale died as a harpoon explodes in her brain as she calls at to her calf. Their cries were the cries like of human beings. I discovered when we suffer, we suffer as equals & in their capacity to suffer, a dog is a chick is a cow…is a boy.

Meat today is the new disease – more murderous than tobacco. CO2, Methane & Nitrous Oxide from the livestock industry are killing our oceans with acidic, hypoxic dead zones. 90% of small fishes are killed and turned into pellets to feed livestock. Billions of bouncy little chicks are crushed alive simply because they are male. And now some facts would amaze you all –

1. By 2048 all our fisheries will be dead. The lungs and arteries of the earth.

2. Humans kill 1875 animals per second.

3. 60% of world’s wildlife population has been wiped out since 1970.

4. 71% of India’s population eats meat.

5. Report of Friends of Earth organisations says that out of 740 crore people in this world only 50 crore are vegetarians.

6. If humans killed each other at the same rate that we kill animals, we’d be extinct in 17 days.

7. Only 100 billion people have ever lived. 7 billion alive today & we torture and kill 2 billion animals every week.

8. 10000 entire species are wiped out every year because of the actions of one species i.e we human beings.

9. If people put out meat out of the menu every year 66,73,000 rupees can be saved and 160 crore hectare land can also be saved from this (more than 2 times of India’s land)

10. Greenhouse gas from livestock is 50% more than transport (planes, trains, trucks, cars, ships etc). If people stop eating meat 33,36,000 rupees can be saved from the effect of greenhouse gas

11. Cornell & Harvard say’s that the optimum amount of meat for a healthy diet is precisely zero.

First time in the history we are now facing the 6th mass extinction. If any other organism did this, a biologist would call it a virus. It is a crime against humanity of unimaginable proportions. Today 1 billion people are hungry, 20 million people will die from nutrition. Cutting meat by only 10% will feed 100 million people & eliminating meat will end starvation forever.

Water is the new oil, nations will soon be going to war for it. And do you know that it takes 50000 liters of water just only to produce 1 kilo of beef. More than 100% water is required in comparison of water required to produce vegetables. For 1 kg chicken 3.5 kg of food is required to serve that chicken. Meat is like 1 & 2 rupee coins, it costs more to make than its worth.

Poor countries sell their grain to the west while their own children starve in their arms & the west feeds to their livestock. Believe me every bite of meat you eat is slapping the tear stained face of a starving child. when i look into his eyes, should i be silent?

The Earth can produce enough for everyone’s need but not enough for everyone’s greed.

Animals rights is now the greatest social justice issue since the abolition of slavery. There are over 500 million vegetarians in the world despite this massive footprint, we are still drowned out by the hunting, shooting, killing who believes that violence is the answer – when it shouldn’t even be a question.

Meat is a killing industry – animals, us & economies. We can’t bomb the industry, we can just stop buying it. Am i the only one who sees this a crime?

The peace map is drawn on a menu, peace is not just the absence of war. It is a presence of justice. Justice must be blind to race, color, religion or species. Believe me if slaughter houses had glass walls, we wouldn’t be need this debate.

You want a better world for your kid, you want the world to be nice & beautiful & it isn’t always that way but each of us has the choice to say, I am not going to be a part of that cruelty.

I am not gonna pay for it, if we don’t pay for it, farmers won’t breed those animals so all that cruelty may not happen.

On a quiet night i can hear her breathing, let’s get the animals off the menu & out of these torture chambers. Please share for those who have no voice. Also its not ended yet wait for another one
